Description:
The church of Saint Cosmos and Saint Damian dates from the fourteenth century. Inside the church or cathedral as the locals call it, are sixteenth and seventeenth century paintings including one called Pieta by an anonymous Venetian painter in 1545. The houses in the village of Lastovo have unique chimneys called fumari that resemble mosque minarets and date from the seventeenth century.
