| The Villa Santa Marija is situated beside the sea and has an adjoining park. The building was erected in 1895 for Ritter Von Scharmitzer and was designed by Karl Seidl. The Villa was designed to resemble a palace and closely resembles a Tuscan home. The exterior is Venetian Gothic and the windows and portico are neo-Renaissance. All of the materials used in the architecture are unusual compared to the villa’s neighbours. |
