| The reputation of our region was enhanced worldwide not only by Baraga but also by Peter Pavel Glavar with his Enlightenment treatises on beekeeping and advancements in husbandry for the education of farmers. He was the owner of Lanšprež Castle, which was demolished after World War II. The Chapel of Sv. Martin in Lanšprež, where Peter Pavel Glavar is buried, is being renovated. Near the chapel, the kozolec (traditional Slovene hayrack) with ten pillars he ordered built in the 18th century still stands. |
