The Church of St. Bolfenk stands in the settlement nucleus of Kog. It was constructed in the years 1683–1688 on the place of the old chapel from the year 1607. It had a typical Baroque ground plan comprised of a large rectangular nave and small square presbytery. In the year 1750 the Chapels of St. Laurence and John the Baptist (sv. Janez Krstnik) were additionally built to it and in the following years it was fitted anew. In the year 1811 the presbytery was expanded and both chapels were pulled down. The church remained in that way until the year 1908 or 1909, when it was renovated internally and externally and the vestry was additionally built. During the War, in April and May 1945, it was half demolished due to the Eastern Front, but until the year 1959 it was only partly rebuilt. It then obtained a new upper part of the bell tower, new roofs and mostly new fittings. The parish which was planned in the year 1789 and expanded in 1909 was entirely renovated after the last war.
