| The garden was designed by Dr. Sc. Bruno Sisic in conjunction with the National Academy of Science and Art in 1859 although Maximilan of Habsburg first introduced plants here in the nineteenth century. The garden contains over 500 species of plants and 200 succulents in the greenhouse including puyes and agaves. Most of the plants are arranged in areas according to the species. |
