| The church is reputed to be the work of the Štajerska architect, Janez Fuchs, and is one of the most beautiful and most important Baroque creations in Slovenia. Quality stucco decoration in the interior, compliment the rich Baroque fittings and pictures of local artist J.A. Strauss from the years 1745, 1747, and 1758. This last year is also the year of the origins of St. Magdalene, which is located at the other northern altar. The penitent Mary Magdalene is painted life size, kneeling on a carpet, surrounded by sheer rock and attributes. |
