The name “Hollow Church” has been used for many years to refer to several churches that were built on this site close to the river Jadro. Remains have been recorded of a notable three-aisled basilica dedicated to St Peter and Moses that was built in the early Romanesque style. An inscription remains recording the dedication of this building and the archaeological work discovered that this church had been built within the remains of an earlier building.
