| The church was once accompanied by a monastery, now incorporated other building structures. It is the oldest of Trani, and is in pre-Romanesque style. Compare the first time in a bull of Pope Gregory VII of 1075. The church is located approximately 2 m below street level and has three naves covered by vaults and apses, separated by corner pillars. Inside there are ancient elements such as sarcophagi, capitals of columns. On the left wall there are traces of frescoes. Since January 2008 the local bishop has entrusted the church to the Romanian Orthodox Metropolitan of the Metropolis Josie Western Europe. |
