| The church of Santa Marina was built in 1450 and, like most of the buildings, was almost completely destroyed by bombing in World War II.
It stood at the end of Via S. Marina, on a small hill on top of which came across two lanes. In the early sixties, because there was no money to be able to reconstruct, it was completely demolished and in this way lost some very important works of art. The plan of the church had three aisles, the roof-shaped hut on the left side of the tower stood, behind which stood a large sacristy.
On the front there are twelve small windows of the Romanesque style and a rosette. Inside the plant has a Latin cross. On the occasion of the jubilee year, December 13, 2000 the church of S. Marina has been further enhanced by a beautiful bronze door of Prof. Durante. |
