| The quarters Piaggio and Fondovico, the Civita and the Old Village, are the heart of the ancient town.
They are constituted by natural caves and by "casedde", reflecting the culture of the neighbourhood. The most recent "Borgo Vecchio" (Old Town), built between 1200 and 1300, still shows a different and aristocratic structure of "palatiate" houses.
The little and narrow streets and the nearly crowded houses connected by bridges make the historical centre very pictoresque. |
