The old and new (Ćipiko Palaces are particularly attractive in the square. The large new Venetian Gothic palace was builtby Koriolan Cipiko. Remains of the Romanesque style are found on its ground floor, and the facade has two rows of decorated Venetian Gothic three-light windows. The wooden cock, the figurehead of a Turkish Galley from the battle of Lepanto in 1571 is placed in the atrium. The touch of master Ivan Duknovic is felt on the south large portal. The portal of the old smaller palace is decorated with three-light windows, and by them is a relief of the head of the poet and humanist, also the work of Ivan Duknovic. Andrija Alesi and Nikola Firentinac also worked on both palaces. On the seafront is the Lucić Palace, the home of the historian Ivan Lucić. It has a lovely portal on its northern facade and memorial tablet on the southern.
