| The church and monastery were erected in the fifteenth century by Count Martin Frankopan after the new shrine was erected. The monastery was habited by the Franciscan monks who renovated the building several times. The cloister was designed in the Baroque style and the Refectory houses some interesting paintings. The treasury contains a fifteenth century Gothic statue representing Our Lady of Slunj, a sixteenth century statue and fourteenth century painting of Madonna. There are other religious objects that may be of interest. |
